Golden Hook is a group of grandmas and a young man.They make beautiful hats and sell them all around the world.
You don't buy Golden Hook hats in a shop.If you want one, you need to go to their website and chose the size and colour you want.Then you look at photos of some grandmas and choose one 10 make the hat by hand just for you.One week later, you will get the hat with a special message from her.
Jeremy Emsellem started Golden Hook in Paris.In 2005, when he was 19.Jeremy began to knit （编织） hats for fun.He wore the hats to school.Other student really liked them.Everyone wanted one!Jeremy made hats for 50 students, but he didn't have time to make hats for everyone.
Then, in 2007, he visited his old aunt and had an idea.His old aunt an her friends had lots of time.They were also very good at knitting.Jeremy asked them if they wanted to make hats.Six of the grandmas said yes.In 2008, Jeremy started the Golden Hook company.In the first year, they only sold 300 hats, but the hats got popular soon.In 2010 Golden Hook had 20 grandmas making those beautiful hats.
Jeremy is happy that Golden Hook lets people get excellent hats and helps grandmas get money and something interesting to do.
Mr. and Mrs. Spencer both had very busy jobs and didn't have much time to spend with their young children. They wanted to change this. Both of them were interested in boating, so they decided to sail(航行) around the world with their children.
It took them six years to prepare everything for the trip. First, they bought a new boat. Then, they had to take advanced(高级的) sailing lessons and learn all about the sea and the weather. Mr. Spencer also took several courses in preparing engines and Mrs. Spencer spent an hour in a restaurant to cut up fish.
In October, they had one year off from their jobs and sailed from England with their two children. The next year, in August, their journey ended in Australia.
The boat was not big, but they took a teacher for their children with them. Their trip was not boring because there were three computers, many CDs, a TV and a DVD player on the boat.
The family loved seeing the stars in the sky during the trip. But, most of all, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer enjoyed spending time with their children while they were still young.
Two years ago, I together with my wife, my son and my little daughter had a trip to Guangzhou.When we at our hotel, it was around 1 a.m.My little daughter looked out at the lights of Canton Tower and said she wanted to go outside.I told her it was too to go out, but she kept looking out of the window and said, "Just for two minutes."
