A good plan makes a good ending, so you should try your best 1 a good plan before you do anything. For example, you should plan the time well before you take a 2 exam. Before you start writing, you should know how much time you have to finis the writing.
3 you have a watch or can see a clock in the exam. You can't take your mobile phone with you in the exam, so you should 4 a watch.
Then, how much time should you 5 on each part of a writing exam? There is not a right or wrong answer to this question, and here's my plan. 6 I have forty minutes to finish a writing exam, I will divide(分配) it this way:
•Planning—twenty minutes
•Writing—fifteen minutes
•Reviewing(检查)—five minutes
It 7 that I spend 8 time in planning. But a good plan is very 9 because it's the key to success. It gives me enough time to know what I am going to write before I 10 .

Why did you fight with your friend?
When I was in Grade 5, I had a fight with Sam. The teacher, Mrs. Green, decided to teach us a very important lesson. Many years has passed. I have forgotten what the fight was about, but I have never forgotten the lesson I learned that day.
What did Mrs. Green do?
Mrs. Green showed us a large, round object. I could clearly see that it was black. She asked Sam what color the object was. He answered white. I couldn't believe Sam said the object was white, when it was black! Another fight started between us, this time about the color of the object. The teacher asked us to change the places where we stood. It was an object with two differently colored sides. From Sam's side it was white, while from my side it was black.
So what did you learn from it?
At first I thought that I was right and he was wrong. And Sam just thought that I was wrong and he was right. But after that, I know that we should put ourselves in others' shoes. I think that's what Mrs. Green wanted to teach us at that time.
Do teenagers in small villages do chores at home? How about the teenagers in big cities? Here is a survey. We asked 4,000 teenagers in China several questions. Half of them come from big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The others are from small villages. We made a diagram of the result of our survey. Let's have a look at it.

We found out that teenagers from small villages do more chores than those from big cities.
Our advice to parents in big cities is that parents should give their children some chores to do. Doing chores teaches teenagers to take care of themselves.
Confidence(自信) is very important in our daily life. It can help us to develop a healthy attitude (态度). A study shows that the people who are more confident are much happier. They can have more chances to make themselves successful.
But how to be more confident? Here are some suggestions:
Speak loud. When you are not confident, you can't do well what you want to do. You speak in a voice so low that other people can hardly hear you. Try to speak loud enough so that people can hear you clearly. The high voice can help you become more confident.
Play sports. Physical exercise makes you tired but completely relaxed. A strong body helps you be full of confidence.
Encourage yourself. Write down a list of things you did during the day to see how many things you have done well. Did you finish your homework? Did you tell a joke that made everybody laugh?
Give yourself praise(表扬) for the good things you have done. This is the best way to encourage yourself.
Pick up a hobby. If you like singing, sing as much as you can. In some ways, a hobby can make you outstanding. And it will make you happy and confident.
Once upon a time, there lived a wise man. Everyone loved him. His son, however, was very lazy and did nothing all day.
The wise man was worried about his son's future. One day, he said to his son, "I want you to go to find some treasure(财宝). I have drawn a map to guide you. " Then he gave his son a bag. There were clothes, some food, a little money and a map in the bag.
The son set out(出发) on his long journey the next day. He had to travel across forests, rivers and mountains. Along the way, he met a lot of people. Some helped him with food, and some with a place to live. He also met robbers(强盗) and lost much money. He saw changing landscapes(风景) and experienced different kinds of weather.
Finally, after a long year, he reached the place of treasure. He spent two days looking and digging for the treasure, but found nothing.
Feeling sad, he decided to go back home. On his way back, he experienced the same changing landscapes and seasons. Sometimes, he would stop to enjoy the beauty of nature. He also learned to hunt and make meals. He had to fix his own clothes and the tent himself. He was now able to tell time by the sun and protect himself from wild animals. He met the same people who had helped him earlier. This time, he stayed and helped them in order to repay them.
When he reached home, he said sorry to his father for not finding the treasure.
"There wasn't any treasure in the very first place, my son," the father answered with a smile. "But I think you have found your life's true meaning. "
Now students' English handwriting (书写) gets worse and worse. That makes their teachers feel worried. Is your English handwriting beautiful? Here are some ways to improve your handwriting.
Use paper with lines
Using paper with lines can keep you writing well when you write English words or sentences. Those lines on the paper can help you to write words in the right size.
Slow down
If your writing is hard to read, try slowing down a little. For some kids, writing slowly makes handwriting clear. If you write too fast, you may make more mistakes.
Hold your pen right
When you hold your pen in the correct way, writing is much easier. Some students hold the pencils so hard when they write. That makes the handwriting not nice. Try to relax yourself and don't hold the pen so hard. If you do so, people will think you are a student with a good habit.
Draw more pictures
Drawing can improve your handwriting. You need to use the skills to control (控制) your pencil better when you are drawing pictures. If you have no time to draw at school, you can practice it at home.
Handwriting is very important. You need to take time to improve it.
Cathy is a great fan of traditional Chinese culture. She has (visit)many Chinese museums since she was six years old. Her parents brought her to Chinese food festival this year. Cathy was very excited.
The festival had two parts. They visited the food culture show (one). Cathy took a lot of (photo). Then Cathy went to the food market (happy) with her parents. The food market was full different kinds of food. The food was so delicious Cathy ate too much. It was really a (wonder) day! Cathy really enjoyed (her) very much. Later that day, Cathy shared with her best friend Lily online, "Chinese food is (much) delicious than others. I want to learn to cook Chinese food in the future. "
