Leisure activities are the kinds of things people like to do to relax and enjoy themselves when they are not working or going to school. In the past, teenager 1 had any chance to go out and have fun. They had no computer, 2 without TV at home. Nowadays, Chinese teenagers have more fun than those in the past.
First, they have 3 chances to go outside and join in all kinds of outdoor activities. They can enjoy the fun of teenager life as well as the sunshine. During their holidays, they may get 4 to nature to enjoy its beauty. They can go to the seaside to 5 in the sea, sunbathe and play beach volleyball. They can go climbing to share fresh air with the singing birds. 6 , they might go out for a picnic to have fun together. They can also get close to culture by going to 7 parks and visiting museums. In 8 spare time, teenagers often play team sports together, like football and basketball.
Teenagers nowadays also enjoy more 9 activities. They can have a party with their friends at weekends. If they don't want to go out, they may surf the Internet to play games or chat with others. They may watch their favorite TV programs or movies 10 leaving their homes.
How happy the Chinese teenagers are!
Each nation has many people who help to take care of others. For example, some high school and college students in the U.S.A. often spend many hours as volunteers in the hospitals, orphanages (孤儿院) or rest homes. They read books to the people in these places, or they just visit them and play games with them or listen to their problems.
Other young volunteers go and work in the homes of people who are sick or old. They paint, clean up or repair their houses, do their shopping or mow (割，修剪) their lawns. For boys who no longer have fathers, there is an organization called Big Brothers. College students and some other men take these boys to baseball games or fishing trips and help them get to know things that boys usually learn from their fathers.
Each city has a number of clubs where boys and girls can go to play games. Some of these clubs show films or organize short trips to the mountains or some places of interest. Most of these clubs use a lot of high school and college students as volunteers because they are young enough to know the problems and needs of young boys and girls.
Volunteers believe that some of the happiest people in the world are those who help to bring happiness to others.

There was a young man who was in trouble. He went bankrupt (破产) and his wife went away from him. From then on, failure was all that he had seen. Struggling (斗争) with this, he went into the forest alone. There, he met an old man who had lived there for along time. He shared his story with the old man and asked, "Can you give me one god reason not to give up?"
"Look", the old man said, "Do you see that fern (蕨类植物) and bamboo there?"
"Yes. " the man answered
"When I planted the fern and bamboo seeds, I watered them carefully. Within a few days, the fern quickly grew from the land," the old man went on.
"However, I watered the bamboo seed for years, it still didn't sprout. But I didn't give up and continued looking after it. In the fifth year, a small sprout came out of the land. Within six months, the tree grew a hundred feet tall. "
" The little bamboo tree had been growing underground in the past four years, developing a root strong enough for its ground growth (生长) in the fifth year. If it hadn't done this, it would not be so strong. So you know, all the time you were struggling, you were actually growing strong roots. " the old man said. Finally, the man thanked the old man deeply. Then he left the forest with the hope for life.
With the development of our country, all kinds of bridges have been built over the rivers, lakes and seas. And then a special team appeared. They accepted the task of doing an underwater "physical examination" for the bridge. In 2021, Zhang Beiyu became one of them. There are other 12 people in this team besides Zhang. Members in this team are young and their average age is about 28.
Zhang Beiyu loved swimming when he was a child. He practiced hard and had lots of trainings. At the age of 23, he successfully got this work. To be a good worker, he still needed many kinds of practice. The required various professional trainings before the beginning tasks. So he needed to pass the exams of theoretical(理论的) and practical courses. After that, he was allowed to begin a task. For the first time, when Zhang Beiyu carried on a task, he asked his colleagues( 同事) to help him take a video before starting to work. After the work, Zhang Beiyu sent the work video to his parents to share the joy of realizing his dream with them.
"I always dream to become a hero one day. Now I understand that everyone can become a hero as long as they work hard to realize their dreams and know their responsibilities clearly. " Zhang said happily. In 2022 Spring Festival travel rush(春运), Zhang volunteered to help people and made sure everyone could go home safely.
Although he was a green hand in this team, he thought he not only wanted to do testing underwater, but learned from the most difficult work.
In the past 4 years, this young team has travelled and dived( 潜水) through 12 rivers across the country and successfully checked 88 bridges.
"Today, our younger generation(一代) will use the power of science and technology to build a better future for our country." Zhang Beiyu said.

Don't look down on the homeless.
Give the homeless the same courtesy(礼貌).
Bring food to the homeless.
When you pass by someone who asks for something, offer him or her something to eat. If you have lunch, you can pack a little extra. , you can order something to take with you when you leave.
One of the most direct ways to help them is to give them money.
If there are some clothes that you no longer wear and they are in good shape, collect them together and donate(捐赠) them to the organizations that can help the homeless.
