When Zhang Dongdong, from Beijing, arrived at Sanbao Street in Guizhou in August, 2019, he found that most of the children lived with their1 . Their parents moved to large cities2 . Everyone knows that exercise is important. We all need to exercise. Doctors say it is good for us. It makes your heart and body strong. Children who often exercise are more alert. This means they do better in tests and schoolwork than those who don't exercise.
There are many ways to exercise. You can walk, run, swim, skate, or play ball games. Make sure you exercise in the following ways: you have to like what you're doing. Exercise enough but not too much. It's best to exercise twice each week. Thirty minutes each time is enough. Try all kinds of things until you find one, two or even three sports that feel right for you.
You can exercise at fitness centers（健身中心）. They have a lot of equipment（设备）there. The equipment will help to exercise your arms, legs and other parts of your body to make you fit. Some people buy equipment for their homes. But it is very expensive.
Exercising can be fun. Friends can exercise together at a fitness center, or they can play sports together. How do you exercise?
I like planes, but I am nervous about the flying part. One time, I had to take a fight. I went on the plane. An old lady who sat beside me smiled at me.
When the plane was ready to take off, I was feeling so nervous, I was just about to hold someone's hand when the old lady held mine and said, "I'm so afraid. Can I hold your hand?" I was shocked and said, "Okay. " We held each other's hands tightly. The plane took off and climbed into the sky.
Just as the flight was coming to an end, the pilot announced on the speaker, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is Captain Williams. This is a special flight to me. Today, I am retiring（退休）as a pilot after working for 30 years. My family is on board to celebrate my last landing.
As the plane moved to a smooth stop, everyone cheered. The pilot stopped by mv seat and the old lady stood up and hugged（拥抱）the pilot. She was his wife!
The old lady said goodbye to me and left with the pilot. On the way out, I said to the flight attendants（服务员）, "Isn't it strange that the pilot's wife is afraid to take the plane?" The two flight attendants laughed and said , "Mrs. Williams has been a flight attendant for 20 years. "
And with that, I knew that what she had done was to help me.
Now satellites are helping to forecast（预报）the weather. They are in space, and they can reach any part of the world. The satellites take pictures of the atmosphere（大气）, because this is where the weather forms（形成）. They send these pictures to the weather stations. From the pictures, meteorologists（气象学家）can often say how the weather will change.
Today, nearly more than one hundred weather stations in over ninety countries receive satellite pictures. When they receive new pictures, the meteorologists compare them with earlier ones. Perhaps they may find that the clouds have changed during the last few hours. This may mean that the weather on the ground may soon change, too. In their next weather forecast, the meteorologists can say this.
So the weather satellites are a great help to the meteorologists. Before satellites were invented, they could forecast the weather for about 24 or 48 hours. Now they can make good forecasts for two weeks. Soon, perhaps, they may be able to forecast the weather for fifteen days or more ahead（提前）.
