Like many other young boys, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I was a middle school student. My mother wanted me to be a teacher like her, but it seemed that I was not interested in it. My father wanted me to be a1 . However, I couldn't stand spending all my time in front of a piano.
I knew my goal (目标) after I went to high school. I got a part-time job at the school radio station and I found it was2 . I loved to3 school life and my favorite music with my schoolmates on the radio. I kept doing this job during the next six years. When I4 university, I got a full-time job at a radio station. My program is5 and I have a lot of fans (粉丝). I enjoy my job and my life now.
Dashrath Manjhi grew up in a1 family in Indian village. One day, his wife got hurt and2 because they were far away from the doctor in the town.
Manjhi wanted to make things3 for his village. The village wasn't actually that far from the town, but there was a mountain between them. So villagers had to walk 55 kilometers to go around the mountain. He decided to build a new road 4 the mountain, so people could get to the town faster. Magawa is a mouse. But he is not like any other dirty mouse we see in the cities.
From Africa, Magawa gets training(训练) about how to find landmines(地雷). You may wonder how a small mouse can help do such a difficult and dangerous job. Well, Magawa has a great nose. So, he can smell the landmines. And because he is far less heavy than humans, the landmines won't work when Magawa stands on them. Every time Magawa finishes his work, he will get a banana as a prize.
Before Magawa stopped working as a "landmine mouse", he successfully helped people find more landmines than other mice did. His work also helped people save quite a lot of money. This is another reason that Magawa can be chosen.
To show people's thanks for Magawa, PDSA, a charity organization(慈善组织) from the UK, gave him a gold medal. 
Though there're lots of mice doing similar work, Magawa is the only one getting the medal.

Ai-Da, a human-like robot artist, talked at an important meeting( 会 议 ) about "A Creative Future" in the UK. "That made the robot history and brought a challenge(挑战) to today's artists,"
said Sky News.
Ai-Da draws by using cameras 
in her eyes and robotic arms. She "thinks" and answers questions by using AI. She even drew a picture of the UK queen 
and showed it to the people.
To describe herself, Ai-Da said that "I am up to computer programs and AI" and "although not alive, I can still make art" .
Interestingly, at the meeting, Ai-Da "slept" — she stopped working and needed people to restart her. But being able to make art and answer questions shows the huge developments(巨大发展) of AI. And the developments will keep on in the future.
One person knowing this well is Elon Musk. He showed Optimus, a human-like robot of his company(公司), TESLA, at Tesla's AI Day on September 30th. Optimus can do simple work, like moving boxes and watering plants. Now Musk is planning to make more AI robots for TESLA.

Joe is the father of an 8-year-old boy. He says his son Sam is person to climb a famous rock(岩石) in the US.
After well, Joe and Sam worked hard to climb to the top of the rock. "We
made it!" Joe shared his son's story online after they reached the top. He believed that Sam could try higher rocks as he grew older.
Rock climbing is now one of Joe's family's sports. Though some of the family members(成员) don't often go climbing , they will spend time watching other members do it. We throw away (丢弃) many things every day, though some of them can get a new life after a simple repair (修理). The problem is that lots of people no longer know how. It's a skill quickly lost.
Repair Cafés can make a difference to all that! They are free meeting places for people to repair things together. In the café, there are many tools (工具) to help visitors repair clothes, bikes, cars and so on. There are also some people helping with people's repair work. If people have nothing to repair, they can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Or they can give other people a hand. They can also get ideas at the reading table by reading books on repairs and DIY.
Matt Brewer is the director (负责人) of a Repair Café . Also, he is a teacher at a high school. In his eyes, schools should not only teach students to get high grades in tests, but also pass some important life skills on to them. Some of his students study many different skills and try to make broken things work again by themselves in his Repair Café . Zander and Chase are two of them. They enjoy repairing things in their free time, and they always help in the Repair Café on weekends.
Last month, Zander and Chase helped an old woman repair a telephone. The phone was so old that the two had never known it, but that didn't stop the repair work. Brewer taught them to use the tools and then they repaired the telephone. When the old woman told them the phone was nice to use, they were both happy. "It's fun to learn how to repair things," Zander said.
"That's the point of the Repair Café," Brewer said. "These kids are learning necessary life skills."
