As a teenager, I am often asked what I am going to be in the future. A computer programmer? A doctor? Or a scientist? No, I hope to be a teacher. One of the 1 for that is that I want to be a teacher like Mr. Chen.
"Look! Do you know what it is? A-ha, it's the 2 ! And it will always move around the sun. " Mr. Chen said and pointed to his head. He then touched the nose and 3 , "Can you tell me the name of this mountain? It is the highest mountain on Earth! What's the 4 of it? Yes, it's 8844. 43 metres…" I'll never forget my first geography lesson. He was 5 funny that we all fell in love with his lessons 6 . It's Mr. Chen who opened the door of geography for us.
Generally speaking, most of the teachers are strict 7 students and sometimes a little bit demanding(苛求的), not so with Mr. Chen. He is a lighthouse(灯塔), showing us the way to the treasure of knowledge. He is a friend and easy to get8 with, always encouraging us to speak out loud without considering(考虑) our 9 and other disadvantages(不利条件). He is a(n)10 for both students and other teachers.
One day I happened to meet him in the hospital. Seeing the cut on his arm, I realized he was donating his blood(献血). I was moved and was 11 another lesson, a lesson of love and devotion(奉献).
Every time I see the map, it would make me12 Mr. Chen. He is the most unforgettable teacher I have 13 met and he will always be. Someday I hope I am 14 to be a teacher like him.
Thank you, Mr Chen, thank you for making learning not a job but a joy.
Thank you for helping me to find what I do best and to do it even 15
Thank you for understanding all of us and giving us the time and care each of us needs.
Do you feel awkward (尴尬的) when you are eating in the restaurant alone? Here are a few comments (评论) from Weibo.
Alice I don't feel worried at all because I go to a restaurant to eat food instead of making friends. Also, eating alone is a good chance to think questions deeply. You can be your greatest friend. 16: 11 Jiangsu | |

Where is Love? How can we find Love?
Once a little boy wanted to meet Love. He knew it was a long trip to where Love lived, so he got his things ready with some pizzas and drinks and started off. When he passed three streets, he saw an old woman sitting in the park and watching some birds. She looked very hungry. The boy gave her a pizza. She took it and smiled at him. The smile was so beautiful that he wanted to see it again, so he gave her a Coke. She smiled once again. The boy was very happy.
They sat there all the afternoon, eating and smiling, but they said nothing. When it grew dark, the boy decided to leave. But before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug(拥抱). The woman gave him her biggest smile ever.
When the boy opened the door of his house, his mother was surprised by the look of joy(快乐)on his face and asked what had made him so happy. "I had lunch with Love. She has got the most beautiful smile in the world. " At the same time, the old woman's son was also surprised at his mother's pleasure and asked why. "I ate a pizza in the park with Love, " she said, "And he is much younger than I expected. "
If the world is full of love, we can enjoy a better life.
Human beings (人类),
Hey, we are bats (蝙蝠)! We are the only flying mammals in the world. Many of you are now afraid of us, aren't you? There is novel coronavirus (新冠) outbreak (爆发) all over the world. Many people say the virus (病毒)comes from us and they think we are the killers! We are not happy about this!
We bats live on the earth for about 50 million years. How about you humans? We have super immunity (免疫力), so we can live with many viruses.
Let us tell you: some of these viruses can easily kill you! Well, it's true that we are very dangerous. We know this, so we try to keep away from you. We go out only at night when most of you are sleeping. But some of you forget how dangerous we are. You kill our brothers and sisters and eat them. The viruses in the bat meat can kill these people. How foolish (愚蠢) they are! I hope you will learn a lesson from the coronavirus outbreak. Don't eat or kill wild animals! Please!
Best wishes,
Bats
①Here is the car of the future! This car is very different from today's cars; it is silent and clean. Today's cars have wheels (轮子), but this one does not. It moves like a snail (蜗牛), but is much faster than a snail!
②This car will use electricity (电) instead of gas. It can be charged (充电) very quickly from chargers built into the road. It will also be very easy to drive.
③In fact, you won't need to drive it because it will drive itself. You will just need to tell the computer, "Go to X" and the car will go there. Also, it will reach there very quickly, much faster than today's cars. It will also be very safe and comfortable.
④A lot of the technology already exists, but it is very experimental (试验阶段). Fifty years from now, perhaps sooner, some new roads will have solar energy panels (太阳能电池板). They will store energy under the road and some cars will be able to use it.
⑤However, you won't be able to drive a "snail car", even though you're above 20 today. Maybe this is the car of the year 2100, and your grandchildren may drive it.
⑥ ____! No pollution, no traffic jams, no stress. Scientists have lots of ideas about the car of the future. It will be interesting to see what ideas they come up with many years from now.
In winter and spring, the flu(流感) is a kind of serious illness. In fact, it is hard for you to stay away from it. However, there are some ways to cut down the possibility of catching it.
According to a study, the immune system (免疫系统) in the body doesn't work well in the cold weather, while viruses (病毒) don't like the warm body. So wearing enough clothes may help keep away from them.
Although it's possible for you to keep away from another's coughing, you're more likely to pick up viruses from something you touch. "Wash hands often. If there is no way to clean hands, try not to touch your eyes or nose. " said Dr. Walton. "This is a common way for viruses to get into your body.
When you're sleeping, your body is able to produce something to fight with viruses. People who sleep for seven to eight hours will have a stronger immune system than those who sleep less. According to Dr. Walton, if you can't get enough sleep during the night, a 30-minute daytime nap (打盹) is enough to make up for the bad effect of the poor nighttime sleep on the immune system.
Taking enough exercise can keep the immune system working better. However, doing too much exercise may bring some bad results. For example, you may catch viruses more easily.
To keep away from the flu, having flu jabs (预防针) is necessary and important. "It's true that the jab can't protect us against all kinds of flu, but it can save lives. I'm sure to have one every year, " says Dr. Walton.
A. Get the flu jab in time B. Take control of the body C. Do enough exercise to keep strong D. Keep your hands clean at any time E. Put on enough clothes to keep warm F. Have enough sleep every day |
