Peter kept his eyes on the ground. He felt like there was a heavy weight on his shoulders as he walked home alone. It was the 1 day in his life. His mind would not stop thinking about what happened only just an hour ago on the school soccer field. How could he have missed scoring that goal? He had let his whole team 2 . His stupid mistake made him angry. His team had lost the game because of him. He was really worried that his coach might kick him off the team.
3 he walked through the door, his father asked, "What's wrong, son?" Peter's feelings were 4 all over his face. "I lost the game," Peter replied. Then he went into his room without 5 word. Ten minutes later, Peter heard his father 6 on his bedroom door. He opened the door to let him in.
"Look, Peter. I don't know what happened. But whatever it was, don't be too hard on 7 . "
" I lost the game, Dad. I failed my team. They'll 8 never let me play again. "
"Soccer is about team effort*. You're not the only reason your team lost. If you have a good team, you should know work in a team. 9 , winning or losing is only half the game. The other half is learning how to communicate with your teammates and learning from your 10 . "
Peter didn't say 11 , but what his father said made him think carefully.
The next day, Peter went to soccer practice with courage rather than fear in his heart.
"Hey, guys," he said to his teammates. "I'm really sorry about 12 . We were so close to winning that game. But I think if we continue to 13 together, we're going to win the next one. "
To his surprise, his teammates all nodded in agreement.
"Yeah," they said, "don't worry about it. It's 14 just one person's fault*. We should think about how we can do better next time. "
Peter smiled. It made him feel 15 to know that he was on a winning team.

World Environment Day is celebrated worldwide on June Fifth. The United Nations established this special day in 1972 to get people to think about taking care of the planet.
Every year World Environment Day is celebrated in a different city. In 2005 it was held in San Francisco,California.
The main message of World Environment Day that year was "Green Cities: Plan for the Planet". It showed us how to have "Green Cities". It meant that people talked about the ways that cities could have clean environment.
Most people in the world live in cities. Cities use more than 75% of the world's natural resources such as water and gas. So the government concentrates on calling on people in cities to work together to help save the planet.
San Francisco held public talks to discuss the pollution reduction*, clean energy sources* and the importance of healthy parks and gardens. There were also fun events such as music concerts, movies, and art shows. Local farmers and restaurant owners served food that had been naturally grown, "green" of course.
City leaders from all over the world were invited to attend this meeting and share ideas. The United Nations hopes to make an international agreement that countries and citizens *will follow to help improve the earth's environment.
For taikonauts, staying cool and comfortable on China's Tiangong space station is no problem.
The station in the universe experiences large change in temperature, from 150℃ when the sun is shining over the station to minus 100 ℃ when over the night side of the planet. So how to protect taikonauts from extreme heat and cold during their six-month stay in the universe? Several thermal control designs of the China Academy of Space Technology give a great help.
"Just like the blood vessels in the human body, the thermal control system run all over the station modules," said Huang Lei,one of the designers of the thermal system. "They keep a temperature balance by taking the heat away from the parts that may overheat and adding heat to other parts that may get cold. "
Huang's team has developed three sets of cooling systems. One of them was specially designed for experiment payloads outside the lab, and it is lighter than that used on the International Space Station, Huang Lei added.
The scientists have also developed a layer of silver-colored metallic-based coating for the spaceship to keep a balance between the deep freeze of space and the sun's high heat.
The thermal-control coating kept the cabin environment within acceptable temperature ranges (between 18℃ and 26℃), allowing the taikonauts to stay comfortable. Cargo spaceship uses another kind of thermal control design — multilayer insulation to prevent losing heat.
Scientists dressed the Tianzhou-4 in a two-color "coat. " Its cargo cabin was given gray-colored insulation to get more sunlight for a higher temperature for human activities, and its propellant cabin, filled with equipment, was painted with white insulation to help cool off.
In a small town there lived a businessman named Manibhadra. He and his wife were very generous* and kind. He liked sharing. Everyone in the town knew them and visited their house often.
One day. Manibhadra lost all his ships in a storm at sea. All the people who had lent him money for trading asked immediate repayment*. Manibhadra had to sell all his things and pay them. In the end he was left with nothing.
Along with his wealth, all his friends also left him. Manibhadra was in great pain. "Even my friends
have left me. They just liked my wealth," he thought sadly.
"I have nothing to give my wife and children except pain. Maybe it is better to end my life. . " With such disturbed thoughts, Manibhadra went to sleep.
That night he had a strange dream. A monk* appeared in his dream and said,"If you touch me on my head with a stick I will change into gold. " In the dream Manibhadra saw himself touching the monk with a stick and the monk turning into a huge pile of gold coins.
The next morning Manibhadra woke to the sound of someone knocking at the door. "Can my
dream be true? Will I ever become rich again?" thought Manibhadra to himself.
"The barber* is here for you," called out his wife from the door.
"How foolish of me to believe in a dream. It will never come true," said Manibhadra to himself as he sat down for his shave. Just then, there was a knock at the door.
Manibhadra got up and opened the door. To his surprise, there stood a monk looking at him silently and meaningfully.
Manibhadra picked up a stick and in a daze, touched the monk on his head with it. And there in front of him was a huge pile of gold coins. He sent the barber away with a lot of gold coins, advising him to keep things to himself.
The barber thought,"So when you hit these monks on the head, they change into gold. Now I know how to become rich. I am tired of shaving and cutting people's hair and earning a rupee or two. "
He invited a few monks to his house for dinner. As soon as the monks entered his house, the barber took a stick and started to beat them on their heads. The poor monks were terrified*. With great effort, one of them ran out of the barber's house successfully and called the soldiers for help. . .
