The third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation("一带一路"国际合作高峰论坛）was successfully held in Beijing from Oct. 17 to 18. This year marks the 10th anniversary(周年）of the Belt and Road Initiative(the BRI,"一带一路"倡议）。

China's 12^th manned spaceflight（载人航天）,the ShenzhuoXVI launched(发射）successfully on Oet. 26, 2023. It sent three astronauts-Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie and Jiang Xinlin to the Tiangong space station.

The launch came just a few days after China celebrated the 20^th anniversity（周年）of its first manned mission(任务），On Oct. 15, 2003,Yang Liwei,China's space hero, made the country' get closer to its dream of getting into outer space come true.

`Yang once said,"All astronauts for the manned lunar missions(登月任务）must have the experience of traveling to the Tiangong space station. " So the Shenzhou XVI manned mission makes the country get closer to its dream of walking on the moon.

The ShenzhouXVI crew（航天乘组）is planned to stay inside the Tiangong for around six months and return to Earth around April. Their tasks include some usual tasks, such as doing scientific experiment, having spacewalks to install（安装）things,checking the station and collecting(收集）some important data(数据），as well as helping to test the support abilities from the ground. 

The Shenzhou XVI mission and its crew also have many firsts, The crew is the youngest of all China's manned missions,with an average(平均的）age of 38. It is also the first to have members from the second-generation and the third-generation astronauts. Tang Hongbo, finishing his first space mission about two years ago,is the first space traveler to revisit China's Tiangong space station.

In a 2012 study, Boaz Keysar,a professor at the University of Chicago in the US, led an experiment about the relationship(关系）between foreign languages and people's way of thinking. 

In the experiment, people needed to make a choice:Take a guarantee(保证）of one pound or take a 50% chance of winning 2. 50 pounds. When given this choice in their mother language,most people took the safe choice of getting one pound. But they would like to make the riskier(更冒险的）choice when asked in a foreign language,according to The Guardian. Keysar said, "People just hate the possibility of losing,but they hate it less in a foreign language. "In another study, Keysar and his team did an experiment in which people were given some related(相关的）words like"dream"，"snooze(打盹）"，"bed"and＂rest". Later,when asked in their mother language which words they remembered,people were more likely to mistakenly remember "sleep",which was not on the list. But it was much less likely to happen if they did the test in a foreign language. Keysar said, "People have more careful thinking when using a foreign language. "

The evidence(证据）is clear: By learning a foreign language,you're not just learning a language you're gaining a new state of mind. 

Going on holiday is a good chance to relax,visit new places and sec new things. But while planning a trip,you have to decide whether you want to travel with family or friends,or just alone. 

Traveling with family can be very cheap or even free,if parents pay. One friend told me that both she and her sister were in tears after arguing on holiday. In my own family. Dad always wants to go to a museum. Mom would like to stay in the hotel. My sister likes to buy clothes. As for me,.

When we talk about Chinese handmade paper,you may think of Xuan paper. However,there are different kinds of Xuan paper in different places, and Lianshi paper from Fujian is one of them. 

Going back 400 years, Lianshi paper is made by hand using bamboo. According to Fujian Daily, Lianshi paper weighs only 19g/m, but it is strong. Thanks to this, Lianshi paper was listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage(省级非物质文化遗产) in Fujian in 2008. 

Deng Jinkun,a 54-year-old handmade paper lover, became the 1lth inheritor(传承人)of Lianshi paper in 2005. 

Deng said making Lianshi paper has 72 steps, including cutting bamboo,soaking(浸湿)，making pulp(纸浆), and drying(干燥). What makes it special is its bleaching(漂白) skill. "In May each year,bamboo is cut off,and soaked in lime(石灰) twice. The bamboo is then steamed(蒸) at a high temperature. After that,it's bleached on the mountain for four months, "Deng said. "This step makes it white, "Deng added. 

Besides its traditional(传统的) art,Deng also brought in new ideas at the same time. 

"Traditionally, we needed two people to bring the pulp together. Now,our Lianshi paper needs only one person because we use a rope to hang one side, "Deng said.

When they bake(烤，焙) the paper,the baking wall is also uncommon. According to Deng, other places use lime to make the wall. "After a trip to the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018, I decided to use tabia(三合土) to make the wall so that it could last longer,"Deng said. After it is built, the tabia baking wall can be used to make paper for 40 years.

I was 15. She looked like she was over 70. But on that day, I think she understood me 1  than anyone else. 

Walking into church(教堂）that Sunday was hard. I never let anyone see me cry. But I knew I would cry that day.

Luckily,after high school, I entered  excellent college in China. The Chinese lesson here started with the basics(基础），HSK(汉语水平考试）1 and 2. My Chinese teacher, Mr. Yang took us  (serious) . He taught us the basics patiently,such as the airflow(气流）in each Chinese character's(汉字）pronunciation(发音）. He showed us how to write each Chinese character step by step. The class was online. But it was  (enjoy) and interesting. 

Mr. Yang  (let) us practice pronouncing Chinese words(pinyin)after him. Besides,he always asked us to take a picture of  (we) Chinese character writing and send it to him to get it corrected. The best part of his lesson was that  I had a question in class, I could ask him directly and freely. It is good to learn Chinese by  (ask)questions. He also encouraged us to join in  （compete) in our spare time. 

Chinese is the most difficult language  (learn) . But as the Chinese saying goes, "Where there's a will,there's a way. "I believe with a lot of hard work and such kind teachers' help, I will learn it well.
