Galante is a wildlife biologist studying animals that are nearly dying out. A reporter Daniels spoke with him about his job. Here's part of their conversation below.
Daniels：How old were you when you wanted to be a biologist?
Galante：But it wasn't really until after graduating from college.
Daniels：You're able to travel all around the world.
Calante：Sure. You see elephants and lions and all these big animals.
Daniels：That's amazing!
Galante：But my favorite place is Palau（帕劳群岛）.
Daniels：What's the best and most rewarding part of your job?
Galante：To tell you the truth, I love to travel and work with animals. But all of that can't be compared to the most exciting and rewarding moment.
Daniels：And that makes it all worth it.

After "sleeping" for more than 3, 000 years, the Sanxingdui Ruins were discovered. They1 the world in 1986. Scientists found more than 1, 000 cultural relics, including bronze ware（青铜器）（神树）. The Sanxingdui Ruins were found2 . A farmer found them in 19293 he was digging a well. People found some artifacts, but didn't know how4 they were. In 1986, when farmers dug up soil to make bricks（砖）, they found relics again. 5 then searched the area and found two pits（抗）. The site's total area is 12 square kilometers.
When Laura Lee was 5 years old, she developed what most people would consider a strange hobby—she collected toilet roll（卫生纸筒）. Little did she know then that this hobby would finally become a1 recycling movement in Singapore.
In 2018, Laura, a 15-year-old high school student, 2 a movement, Toilet RollSC, with the goal of collecting one ton of toilet rolls within a year. A little more than two years later3 , Laura went into a partnership with waste management company Veolia. For every kilogram collected, the company gave 5 cents in return, and then Laura4 the money to support social causes（事业）in Singapore. That has encouraged many more students to join her. As the5 of staring Toilet RollSC she received an EcoFrienda Award from the Singapore Government in 2021.
When asked why she became interested in collecting toilet rolls, Laura explains, "Toilet rolls are6 to collect because they are made of only one material. Things like pens are more difficult to recycle because they are made up of too many different material like metals and plastics, which need more resources（资源）to7 . " She hopes that collecting toilet rolls will help encourage young people to cut down on the use of single—use things and develop a habit.
What's more, Laura often gives public8 about recycling at local schools. But because of COVID—19, she has to9 face—to—face communication, and uses the Internet to call attention to different environmental things.
Laura's path to success is not easy, but the support of her classmates, family and school staff gives her the courage to10 going for her strange but meaningful hobby.

Embroidery（刺绣） is an important art form in Chinese culture. One of he most famous embroidery styles is Shu embroidery. It is known for itsneedlework（针线）and beautiful colors.
Meng Dezhito making Shu embroidery for 40 years. The 59-year-old woman is a national—level inheritor（传承人） of the art form. She used to work at the Chengdu Shu Embroidery Factory. But in 2005, the factory wentand Meng lost her job.
To save the art, Meng decided to rent her own place and teach Shu embroidery to othersIt's not an easy job. Workers needeach silk thread（线） into more than 10 or even 30 pieces. Each piece is thinner than a single human hair. In 2016, Baidu invited Meng to make a homepage logo for Qixi Festival. It was a small logothe use of 45 types of sewing（缝纫） methods and

The work is hard and the pay is low. Not many people want to learn this sill. But Meng is trying to save it by teaching in different universities and. She believes that Shu embroidery stands for thousands of years of Sichuan culture and should.

Embroidery takes time and patience. Now there are very few young embroiderers, so the skill may（10）die out in a short time. To protect the skill, Shu embroidery was added to China's intangible cultural heritage list（非物质文化遗产名录） in 2006.
Schools are supposed to be safe places for children. Sadly, the International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC） has seen accidents happen in schools from time to time. First aid training in schools around the world is one of its plans.
Khalida Asgarova is a 16-year-old student who wants to become a doctor. She lives in Aghdam in Azerbaijan（阿塞拜疆）. She took part in ICRC's first aid training in spring of 2021. One important lesson she learned was that in emergency situations everyone must take care of themselves first before helping others. Since attending the training, Khalida has already helped her friend who hurt his hand with broken glass. She even taught some of the other students who could not attend the training as well as her younger cousins some of the skills she learned.
