Last week Johnny had a very busy weekend. On Saturday morning, he cleaned his room. That made his mother very happy. In the afternoon, he did his math homework. It was not difficult, so it only took him one hour to finish the homework. And in the evening, he went to visit his aunt with his parents. They had a big dinner there. The next morning, he went swimming after getting up. Usually he goes swimming twice a week. He loves it very much. After lunch he went to school playground and played football. That exercise makes him in a good health. On Sunday evening, he watched TV for an hour at home and then put the books in his schoolbag for the next day.
When you are feeling unhappy or forget how great you are, there are six ways to make you feel good about yourself.
◆Look in the mirror(镜子) and say to yourself, "I'm a special person and there's no one in the world like me. I can do anything!" It may not sound so good, but it really works!
◆ Do something nice for someone. Helping others always makes you feel good.
◆ Smile! Be friendly to people you meet. Look for the good things in your friends and family.
◆ Learn something new! Have you always wanted to decorate (装饰) your own room or learn how to swim? Go for it! New challenges (挑战) are fun and give you a sense of accomplishment when you have finished.
◆ Read and start a diary. Turn off the TV and let your imagination(想象) fly! Write down your thoughts, dreams or anything you want! Writing always helps to express your feelings.
◆Stay with your family. We all need our family time. Talk with your mom and dad or maybe even your cousins.
People go to work in different ways. It depends on where they live. Some people walk to work because they live near their workplaces. Some people go to work by bike because they live farther away, or they like riding bikes and they think it is good for their health.
But some people in the cities go to work by bus or subway, because they are much faster. It is also interesting to take the bus or subway. And some people take the trains to work.
Today more and more people have cars, so they can go to work in their cars. But that may cost too much money. In some places of China, people even go to work by boat, because water is around their houses. Will people go to work by plane? I think so, if necessary.
Lily is a school girl. She comes the UK. But now she is (live) in Beijing with her parents. She doesn't know much Chinese. She (have) Chinese lessons after school every day. Sometimes, others don't understand(理解) her 7 she can't speak Chinese very well.
