The Ningbo Central Plaza Tower (宁波中心大厦) completed its main structure (结构) on May 15, 2023. It has 80 floors in the height of 375. 85 meters. It has become the tallest building in Ningbo, even in Zhejiang.
As a symbol building in Ningbo, the Ningbo Central Plaza Tower is located in the central area of the Ningbo East New Town. People have been excited about it since its construction (建设) began on April 9, 2018. It has attracted great attention from local people.
The total area of the Ningbo Central Plaza Tower is about 250,000 square meters with a height of 409 meters. There are three underground levels and 80 floors above the ground. The first 60 floors are international Grade-A office space. And the upper 20 floors are a world-class hotel run by Ritz-Carlton. The whole building is planned to have its structure completed by the end of this year. It is said to be open for use by 2025.
Ningbo is one of the busiest port cities in the world. Once it is completed, the Ningbo Central Plaza Tower will not only be the tallest building in Ningbo, but also a center to help the city play a more important role in the world business. A recent competition is to see who is better in art- man or machine-and for now at least, it's good news for humans.
The competition invited both photographers and artificial intelligence (AI) creators to hand in their best works, with a prize of $1000, run by electronics retailer (电子产品零售商) digiDirect. The competition was created after an Al picture won digiDirect's weekly photography competition earlier in February.
A group of expert photographers would then judge the 415 photos, without knowing whether they were created by humans or machines.
Every Al artwork can collect millions or even billions of elements (元素) from paintings, photos, and videos to create something new and breathtaking.
An Al image showed a sunrise, a breaking wave, and two surfers. "The surfers in our Al picture never existed. Neither does that beach or wave of ocean," the Al studio said.
After a few days, the judges finally chose a camera-shot photo. It was a photographer named Keith Costelo - a human - who won the hearts and minds of the judges with his photo of a robot-looking model.
"While technology continues to develop, there is still something truly special about the human eye and the creative choices we make," he said. "I truly believe it could never take the place of the heart, soul and thinking process of humans."

My mother loved old English silver (银的) spoons. She always (keep) her collection growing. But strangely, she did not use or display these valuable items. Instead, she always put them (careful) in cloth or soft bags and stored them in a suitcase.
