A first-grade student's best friend is battling cancer. He decided that hours of playing and telling jokes was not . He wanted to show his friend how he the difficult time he was going through.
Five-year-old Vincent Butterfield decided the only way was to shave his head in support of (支持) his best friend Zac Gossage, who his hair because of chemotherapy (化疗).
Zac got acute lymphoblastic leukemia (急性白血病) last June. He is receiving treatment but still goes to Union Elementary in Missouri every day, because that's where he gets to hang out with Vincent. When the little boy was asked why he shaved his hair off, he said, "To make Zac feel like he's not the only one any hair.
Vincent is also learning about cancer (癌症) and raising money for his best friend after learning how his chemotherapy treatments are.
He made more than 20 scarves and sold them. He has raised more than $200 to give to Zac. The little boy's mum Karen told the reporter, "We were making these scarves. He just said it would be if we could sell them. "
