There are many colors, like white, blue, orange and red. But my favourite colour is green. Green is the colour of life. Green is good for eyes, too.

My jacket, quilt and cup are blue. Blue is the colour of the sky. When the sky is blue, we are happy to have a nice day. Blue is also the colour of the sea. I like swimming in the sea. It's my favourite sport. What colour do I like? Do you know now?

Nine-year-old Alice

I love white best. White is the colour of snow. After a snow, everything is white. I think it's a clean colour. I can play with snowballs with my friends.

This is Blue. He has four good friends at school. They are Red, Yellow, Green and White. And his best friend is Yellow. They like to play together after school.

Tony Miller and Mary Miller are twin brother and sister. They are 14 years old. They both like watching TV. Tony likes watching sports games on TV. He thinks they're very interesting. Mary  likes watching a Chinese program(节目) A Bite of China (《舌尖上的中国》), because she likes delicious food and Chinese culture.

One evening, after having dinner with their father and mother, Tony watches a soccer game on TV. But his sister wants to watch A Bite of China.

"Tony, I think sports are boring. Let's watch A Bite of China," Mary says.

"Why? The soccer game is really great, and I want to watch it now," Tony says.
Mary isn't happy, so she asks her mother for help.

"Oh, my dear daughter! Can you watch iton the computer?"  her mother asks.

"That's a good idea," Mary says.

So the twin brother and sister can watch their favorite programs at the same time. They have a happy evening.

Hello, my name is Alice. Do you want to know something about Chinese food? In China, there are many different kinds of food. Some of them are very popular. Among them, dumplings(饺子) are the real Chinese food.

Everyone in China likes dumplings very much, and there are many different kinds of dumplings. Some have beef and vegetables in them, and some have eggs and carrots in them. But I love eating dumplings with vegetables and pork (猪肉).

Usually people make dumplings at home. If you have no time to make them, you can buy them in a supermarket. Then you take them home and eat them with vinegar (醋).

The Spring Festival is very important in China. When it comes, we make dumplings, and usually we put a coin (硬币) in a dumpling. We think that if one eats the dumpling with the coin in it, he can be lucky in the new year.

Here are some activities(活动) in Laura's school from Monday to Friday.

I'm in a new school in Shanghai this year. It is big and beautiful. There are about 2,800 students in my school. I like the teachers and students here. They are all nice to me. From Monday to Friday, there are many different lessons. I like Chinese best because it's very interesting.

The students in our school can join many kinds of clubs. There are academic clubs, art club, sports club and so on. In an academic club, the students can learn about science, maths, computers. In the art club, the students can learn to draw. If you like sports, you can join the sports club. It has a basketball team, a football team, a tennis team and so on. When the new term begins every year, students can choose to join the clubs. They don't need to pay the money. If the clubs need money, they might try to sell something. For example, the cooking club may make and sell cookies to other students. The art club may sell their paintings.

I am very happy in my new school and I really enjoy my school life.

I'm Amy. I have a happy weekend. On Saturday, I go on a trip with my family. First, my father teaches my brother Paul and me to put up the tent(搭帐篷). I think putting up the tent is easy and interesting. Then it's time for lunch. My mother asks us to help her. I wash(洗) apples, oranges and strawberries. My sisters Mary and Jenny cut(切) the fruit. They like fruit very much. They think fruit is healthy. We all like the food. After lunch, Paul and Jenny play tennis with my father. Mary and I read(读) books with my mother. I like reading.

On Sunday, I go to the library with my brother and sisters. Paul reads a book about history. He likes history very much. He says he can know many interesting things from history. Mary reads a book about music. She likes music. She thinks listening to music is relaxing. Jenny reads a book about great sports stars. She can play many ball games, but tennis is her favorite sport. What about me? I read an English book. We all have a happy time.

Do you want to be healthy? Food is very important. Milk and fish are healthy food. Milk is good for your teeth. Fish is good for your brain. Eat more fruit and vegetables, such as apples, oranges, tomatoes and carrots. They are good for our health too.

What about hamburgers，hot dogs，French fries and chips？Do you like cola，candy and ice cream？If your answers are "yes"，please take care. They are junk food！What is junk food？Junk food has lots of fat，salt and sugar. Most scientists say junk food is unhealthy, but many people like it very much. Because it looks and tastes better，and people can keep it for a long time. If you are overweight, you should eat little junk food. Eating too much junk food may bring some health problems.

It's important to remember: eat well, stay healthy and don't get fat!
