Many people know it doesn't rain every day in the UK. However, it is always right to bring an umbrella (雨伞). We never know what the weather will be like. It can be sunny one day but rainy the next day. The weather always changes (改变) from day to day, so it is difficult to predict it. But usually we have warm summers and cool winters.
July and August are usually the warmest months in Britain. January and February are usually the coldest ones.
Lots of people like to visit Britain. But when is the best time to come? Probably the best months to come to Britain for a trip are May, June, September and October. These months have nice weather and less rain. July and August are warm, but it usually rains in these months so it is always wet (湿的). The sunniest place of Britain is along the south coast (海岸) of England. So, next time you can come to visit it.
Tony Wheeler was born to travel. His father served in an airline. For the first 16 years of his life, Tony and his family lived in many different countries.
In the early 1970s, Tony met a young woman named Maureen. They soon married. Before getting jobs, Tony and Maureen wanted to travel. They took a year-long trip from England, through Asia, to Australia. On the trip they visited places like Iran, India and so on.
When Tony and Maureen arrived in Australia, people asked many questions about their trip.
To answer these questions, Tony wrote a book called Across Asia on the Cheap. The book told people about different countries' weather, customs and places to see. But unlike other travel books then, Tony Wheeler's book also talked about places where most tourists did not go. He also wrote about unique things to see and do. The book was very popular.
Tony and Maureen started a company called Lonely Planet. They continued traveling. They wrote books for each place they visited. Today, 800 people work for Lonely Planet. The company has over 650 books. Tony Wheeler, the great traveler, still writes about travels to many places and will bring us more surprises.
Many people do not like to stay at home on holidays. . So people from the country come to the city and people from the city go to the country for holidays. During the holidays, trains, buses and planes are all very busy. . Many people take cars for traveling.
Last May Day my family went to the country by car for our holiday. There was too much traffic on the road, so we had to move very slowly. . After some time, we came to a farm. It was clean and beautiful. The animals were very cute. . So we stopped and took the food, fruit and drinks out of the car. We sat down under a big green tree. Suddenly a strong wind blew and soon it started to rain. . Then we drove back home. What a bad trip!

On Feb. 25th, the short film Bao (《包宝宝》) won this year's Oscar for Best Animated Short (最佳动画短片奖) . The leading character (角色) is a small baozi, and it becomes the child of a Chinese woman in the movie.
Domee Shi, Pixar's first woman Chinese-Canadian director (导演), got the idea from her own mother and made the movie.
In the film, many parts show the way the Chinese woman loves her "son". She makes big meals, cleans up the house carefully and always wants to do everything for her son. But as Bao grows up, he wants to have his own life. He starts to stay with his friends and get home late, so his mom is often angry with him. He'd like to depend on (依靠) himself, but he can't get out of his mother's control (控制). In fact, many children like Bao in China also love their parents, but they have to work far away from their parents when they become adults.
So, how can children get along well with their parents?Shi said to all children: "Have a talk with your parents and tell them your true feelings!"

Chinese Poetry Conference (中国诗词大会)is a famous TV show in China. It's popular with many people. The man named Lei Haiwei is one of the fans. He took part in the game and he won the (one) place.
Lei Haiwei is a fast food courier (快递员). His father (like) ancient poems (古诗)very much. When Lei Haiwei was six years old, he was (interesting) in ancient poems, too. His father said, "My son (show) great interest in Chinese ancient poems when he was a child. Every time I told him the stories behind each poem, he listened to me (careful). "
At first, Lei didn't have much money to buy many books. So he often read ancient poems at bookstores or (library). Then he wrote them down on the notebook of his own in his bedroom he went home. In 2008, Lei worked as a fast food courier. His busiest work days, the courier had to send more than 50 orders a day. Even so, he made full use of every minute (remember) poems. Lei said he would keep on (read) poems.
The high-temperature vacation (高温假) is over. It's true that time always flies fast during the vacation. The weather was hot and I could not do much work, 但是我过得很快乐。
As it was hot in the afternoon, I did my work in the morning. I got up at 6: 30 and took a walk in the garden for half an hour. After breakfast, I started reading English and Chinese and did some exercises on math. 我花费三个多小时完成它们。 I worked quite hard and made great progress (进步). I spent the afternoon outside. Usually I went to swim and it was funny. I went back home at about five or six o'clock. Sometimes a friend of mine would come to see me and we would listen to music for some hours.
In this way, I spent my vacation happily. I studied well. Also, I became a good swimmer.
Now I am in good health and high spirit (精神).
