Mr. Robin（知更鸟）has his house in a tree.
His four baby robins live in it. They grow very fast. Soon the house is too little for them.
“It is time for you to fly." says Mr. Robin.
"Oh, we cannot fly." say the baby robins.
"You can, if you try." says Mr. Robin.
A robin tries. He flies into a tree.
"Oh, how interesting!" says the little robin. "I like to fly. See me go!"
Then the other robins try.
In a little while they can all fly.
The robins can fly, but they can not sing.
"No, Dad, we cannot sing."
"You can, if you try. Hear the other birds sing. Look at the pretty flowers and the blue sky. Then you will want to sing. Hear me sing to you. Now sing for me."
One little robin sings.
Then they all sing.
A little girl comes by. "Wow, hear the birds sing!" she says. "How happy they are!"
Hi, I am Jim. My school is big and it's very beautiful. There is a big garden in our school. There are many flowers in it. The flowers are colourful. There are all kinds of colors. In the centre of the garden, there is a pool. The fishes are swimming happily and freely in it.
There are two teaching buildings around the garden. There are 36 classrooms in them. And there are also many other rooms in them, such as music room, reading room, language lab and the library. There are lots of books in the library, such as storybooks, picture books and magazines. We can read them after class.
The playground is behind the teaching buildings. We do morning exercises on the playground every day. On the playground, you can play sports-running, playing basketball and playing table tennis and so on.
I like my school very much.
One January morning, Thomas Smith is walking his dog, Jack, in the park. Mr. Smith is sitting under a tree and Jack is running on the ice lake.
“I must save my dog,” says Mr. Smith. He doesn't think much, and jumps into the cold water. It's difficult for him to swim in the cold water.
