This is a story about a monkey. He liked the monkey very much. The monkey was very clever. When birds came to the garden, he drove them away. He also helped the old man in many other ways. A fly (苍蝇) came and sat on the end of the old man's nose. The monkey drove it away. Soon the fly came back again and sat on the old man's nose again. The fly came again and again, and the monkey became very angry. He jumped up, ran to pick up a large stone. When he came back, the fly was on the old man's nose again. The fly fell off, but the old man's nose was broken. They do things too quickly but they don't think much before they do. Maybe they sometimes bring us trouble, though they mean to do something good.

My friend Tony is a boy from Australia. Last week, he and his family the countryside. They went to a farm. The farmers there really friendly. Tony and his brothers fed the animals. His sisters and parents watched the nice sky and in the rivers. In the end, they some apples, but they didn't see any strawberries.

Traffic lights are very important for us. I think you can know this. They can help buses or cars to go regularly (有规律地) on the roads. But do you know how they were born?
Morgan is the father of traffic lights. He was born in the U.S.A. His family was poor. He left school at the age of 14. He was smart. (79) He always looked for better ways to do things, and he liked to make new things. At that time, every American wanted to have a car. The streets were full of cars. The traffic was bad. "Why not put three lights at each corner? They should be red, green and yellow," Morgan said. "Let them tell cars to go or stop." So he made a timer(定时器)to change the lights. Now we have traffic lights.
