At this moment in different places of the world, people are doing different things. In Beijing, it's early morning. People are sleeping.
In London, people are leaving work to go home. They are waiting for buses or running for trains. Some people are driving their cars. Some are having afternoon tea at home or walking to the pubs (酒馆) to have a drink.
In Moscow, it's evening and people are having supper at home or in restaurants. Some are going to watch a ballet. Some are drinking in the pubs.
In Los Angeles, it's morning. People are working in their offices. Children are starting their lesson.
New York is midday now. People aren't working but having lunch. They are eating hamburgers or hot dogs and drinking coffee or Coke. Some people are seeing friends or shopping.
Here in China, Tree-planting Day comes on March 12 every year. This special day began in 1979. After we plant trees, we must take care of the trees by watering them until they grow up to be strong. In different countries, Tree-planting Days are on different days.
Why do people plant trees? It is very easy to answer. Trees can make the air fresh and clean, maintain ecological balance(生态平衡), conserve(保持) soil and water, reduce dust pollution, and so on. But some bad people cut down trees for money. We should plant more trees to protect our environment.

We call them aliens (外星人) or sometimes ETs (extraterrestrials) we make movies about them, even though we have seen them. We don't even know whether they are real or not. But we never stop for them.
The universe(宇宙) is a big place. Scientists say there many planets outside our solar system (太阳系). It is very possible that smart forms of life, aliens are living out there.
Scientists are many ways to find aliens. They use radio telescopes (无线电天文望远镜) to search (搜寻) the sky for alien signals (信号). They send radio messages and signals into deep space. They hope aliens will find their messages and answer.
But after years of searching, we haven't heard alien messages yet.
Some scientists say they might not any aliens at all! They think that Earth came into being by chance(偶然地). All the right things came together the right time and formed life on our planet. They think would be too hard for this to happen again.
Chen Hua went to the USA to see his pen friend Eric. (A)After lunch, they walked home from the restaurant. On the way they saw a black cat. Eric stopped and asked Chen Hua to walk down a different street to go home.

It is open from 10:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. from Monday to Friday. And it is open from 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. on the weekend. All swimmers must wear swimming suits (泳装). Remember to take a shower before getting into the pool. You can't eat or run after you go inside. Don't take photos inside. Children under 10 must be with their parents if they want to swim.
