It's always hot and windy on the prairies (大草原) in Kansas. The hot sun and the strong wind make everything1. How are you? I'm fine. I'm in London, at the International (国际的) School of English. I'm in Class 3 with eight other students. They are from different countries - Spain, Japan, America and Canada. Our teacher's name is Henry. He's very nice. He's a very good teacher.
I'm living with an English family. Mr. and Mrs. Brown have three children. Tom is fourteen, Kate is twelve and Andrew is seven. They are all very friendly, but it isn't easy to understand them!
London is very big and very interesting. The weather is cold but sunny. All the parks are beautiful!
English food is OK, but the coffee is horrible!

Morgan is very happy these days. She is in Grade 7 at L.B Clarke Middle School, the USA. She gives her journals (日志) to the teacher. She writes them in the summer holiday. She says," I read many books to finish them."
In the summer holiday, most schools in the USA ask students to read. But L. B. Clarke starts a program (项目) this year.
Students write their journals three times a week. The journals are about books they read or their everyday life." Good writers must be good reader." says a teacher in the school," Our program also asks them to read, but in a different way (用不同的方法)."
Caroline, another student, finishes six journals. She writes about her favourite books and family trips (旅行) .
"The program helps me learn new things," she says, *and if (如果) I forget something, I can look in my journals."
Lin Tao and Chen Hai are good friends. They are in the same class. Lin Tao sits behind (...后面) Chen Hai. They are both in the school basketball team.
Now it is four o' clock. School is over. They often go to play basketball after school. They can't look after their things very well. So their mothers don't give them watches. Tom is like any other teenager. He goes to school, dhis homework, meets his friends and edoing sports. But between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, Tom does something d. He cooks dinner for all his f mum, dad, younger brother Joe and older sister Emma.
