It was a hot, sunny day .The waves(浪)off Santa Barbara were almost three feet high because of a strong wind. Surfers(冲浪者)were having fun. Then the fun 1. One surfer started shouting. Surfers on the 2 saw his arms going up and down. He went under water. Then he came back 3, shouting for help.
"He was in big 4," said one woman. She called 911. He was still shouting and 5.
They could not see a shark(鲨鱼), but they 6 the surfer was being attacked(袭击)by one. Again, the surfer went under. Four surfers jumped onto their boards and swam quickly out to the surfer. By the time they got to him, he was 7. The shark had given up on the taste of the swimwear and the fight with the surfer.
The 24-year-old man was in great pain, but he was still alive. The surfers put him on a board and swim back to the beach. "I don't think he's going to make it," said someone on the beach. "Look at his 8."
A helicopter(直升机)arrived quickly and doctors jumped out. They 9 the surfers and the woman for their help, and took the man to the hospital. An hour later, the hospital said that the surfer would keep on 10. The man lost one of his legs but he was still so lucky
A Walk With My Dog
My dog and I take a walk down the street,
And we say "hello" to people we meet.
There's Mike the baker(面包师), outside of his shop.
As we get closer he tells us to stop.
He gives me a piece of freshly baked cake,
And out of his pocket a biscuit for Jake.
There's Mrs. McGinn, a teacher from school.
She has two children, a dog, and a pool.

Along comes Bridge who just learned to drive.
She gives Jake a pat(轻拍)and me a high-five.
We're back from our walk, the mail truck now parks.
I know that it's there since Jake always barks.
It's Bill the mailman who never comes late.
Arriving at noon, he opens the gate.
"Here is your mail now for house number three."
"Does Jake save that bark for when he sees me?"
There is a 41-year-old woman from California known as Anna, and she remembers almost every day of her life since(自从)she was eleven. There is an 85-year-old man known as Eddy, and he only knows a little.
Eddy
is warm and friendly. He laughs a lot. He looks just like any other grandfather
in the world. But 15 years ago he was sick. Then he only knows the people in the room with him. Every morning, he gets up, has breakfast, and then goes back to bed to listen to the radio. Often he forgets that he has done these things. Sometimes he has breakfast three times in the morning.
For Anna, the past is always there. She remembers the person giving her a call at 12:34 pm on Sunday, August 3, 1986. She remembers that on March 28, 1992, she had lunch with her father at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She remembers the food and every word of the talk. She remembers the weather.
Anna said, "I remember the good things and that is nice. But I also remember the bad things. Ten years later, I still get angry with myself for doing something wrong. I would love for just five minutes to be a normal (正常的)person and not have all these things in my head."
My best holiday trip is one to Fraser's Hill in Selangor. It was the school holidays and my parents had booked a small house on top of the hill just one and a half hours' drive from our home.
We started early in the morning by car. My brother, sister and I sat in the car excitedly thinking about the cool weather and the walk in the wood. We arrived at Kuala Kubu for breakfast. It was a little town that had many old buildings.
Further along the way, we stopped at the lakeside to take pictures. Along its banks were some villages. The journey up the hills was interesting with tropical rainforest(热带雨林).
Finally, we reached the Gap where we were allowed to go up to Fraser's. When we reached the town centre, a strange clock tower, old police station, and cute golf course greeted us. We stopped for lunch at a Chinese food restaurant. Then, we got to the house we booked.
It was eating, sleeping, or playing cards all day as it was raining. We looked cool in our jackets as we walked along the road for dinner in town that night. It was dark when we went back. We were excited using our torches(手电筒). The next day was spent at the waterfalls 15 kilometers away and walked near the town. We had lunch at a Hainanese restaurant before checking out at 1 pm. People there were very friendly. We thanked them and said goodbye to the cool place before we made our way back to the polluted city.
