A 35-member traditional Chinese medicine team from the China Academy of Chinese Medicine Sciences did an excellent job in (fight) the outbreak. During (they) 66-day work in Wuhan, they treated more than 100 severe patients, according to a report by Xinhua News Agency. TCM has played important role in prevention and control of the pandemic as well as the treatment and cure.
There were many (challenge) waiting for them, from lack (缺乏) of herbal medicine the shorthanded nursing staff. They quickly (build) a platform to guarantee the supply of herbal medicine.
Within two weeks, the team developed an (effect) prescription (药方) to treat severe COVID-19 patients and the treatment efficiency was (continuous) improved.
By March 30, 140 COVID-19 patients were in severe condition recovered.
