The cost of living in countries like the US, Britain, Australia or France has skyrocketed in recent years. However, if you're willing to leave your country and explore life in other areas, there are many countries boasting an extremely cheap and low cost of living. Check out the following countries when planning your next move.
Ecuador
Ecuador is similar to the United States in many ways, and as a result has become a popular American getaway. They even use the US Dollar for their currency. In this country, it's cheaper to eat out every day than cook for yourself on a budget in the US. You can even buy a building for around $ 50, 000 and hire someone to look after it while you're away.
Mexico
Although the country is known for its poverty ridden streets, there are many wealthier areas that provide every facility you might need. You can live off a mere $ 700 to $800 a month in Mexico, and this includes rent for a nice place, facilities, food, and any sightseeing.
Argentina
Argentina has been a popular tourist destination for many years. It has great restaurants, a rich history, and many places to explore. Not to mention, it's not very expensive to live here. A decent sized home can cost around $ 139, 000, which is relatively cheap in relation to homes in the United States.
Vietnam
Vietnam has also become a popular tourist destination in recent years. There are many million-dollar luxury homes by the beach, but you can find a modest flat or a small home for around $ 25, 000 to $ 50, 000 if you search in the right areas.
It was my first day of sixth grade. I looked at my schedule and saw that I had Mrs. Foxwell's classes and this made me happy. Over the next three years, Mrs. Foxwell taught me many important things that I will never forget. Of all of the teachers and coaches I have had in my life, Mrs. Foxwell has been my favorite leader.
Mrs. Foxwell is one of the most respected people I know. She is always kind to everyone and she treats others the way that she wants to be treated. She taught me respect in many different ways, but mainly how to be respectful in the business world. She told me that I needed to have a firm handshake and that I should always look people in the eye when I talked to them. Mrs. Foxwell also taught me that I could earn someone's respect by working hard to achieve my goals.
In addition to working at Brandywine Springs School, Mrs. Foxwell once worked at a bank as a manager but she gave that up to teach kids how to be successful. Mrs. Foxwell told our class that she would cry because of the amount of work she had to do in very little time. She told our class that working all night at something we don't love is very stressful, so we should try and do something we love. In the end, she taught me that I have to keep my head high and pull through difficulties. I don't think I have ever worked as hard in any class as I did in her class. I created my own 28 page business plan to share with her, my parents, other teachers and my classmates. Although creating a business from nothing was a lot of hard work, I really enjoyed it and learned several lessons that will help me throughout life.
I have had a lot of role models in my life, but one of the greatest ones is Eva Foxwell. She taught me leadership qualities, how to be respectful and why I should work hard. She changes my life for the better and I desire to be like her.
As the Forbidden City approached its 600th anniversary, a great change took place, with dark and dusty corners of the palace brought back to their former glory for all to see. As recently as 2012,only 30 percent of the vast palace was open to the public. Now, 80 percent is accessible- quickly filled with exhibition spaces, stylish restaurants and cafes, bookstores and highly profitable gift stores, as well as quiet walkways. Besides, great walls around it are now mostly open, allowing an overhead view of the grounds. But even all that new space is not nearly enough to showcase(陈列) the treasures collected over the centuries by emperors. Now the Forbidden City can display only about 30, 000 objects at a time, or 2 percent of its total.
A new campus in the university district of Haidian, about 18 miles to the northwest, is scheduled to open to the public, a 153-acre area that will have room to show imperial carriages, carpets and regalia(礼服). The museum staff members have also become more creative in using the space. During a visit, there was a show on how the imperial family celebrated the Chinese New Year, including reproductions of New Year's couplets written by the Emperor Kang Xi, whose six -decade rule ended in 1722.
The new gift stores, which earned $ 220 million in sales in 2017, have also lifted their offerings. They once featured little more than key chains and ugly dolls; now, they have reproductions of porcelain(瓷器),textiles(织物) and even furniture. Lisa Tan, a 38-year-old editor at a Beijing publishing house, said the new shops were attractive because they offered traditional porcelain made by government recognized masters using traditional methods. "It's good that the Forbidden City is taking a lead in keeping these traditional practices alive, "Ms Tan said. "The gift store has even become fashionable in some circles. "And some of the more commercial activities are being limited, including photo studios where people can dress up like an emperor Or empress.
Most visitors are still part of package tours that make people travel quickly through the central part of the palace. But taking a slower, more winding path through the Forbidden City is a better way to soak up the history and discover some of its secrets.
What do you plan to do when you retire? Keep working? Get more exercise? Or learn something new? You may put them on hold. There's a chance that, sooner or later, you might have to move further than you were thinking, as far as Mars.
On Thursday, National Geographic will show the first-ever Mars show home, giving earthlings(地球人) an idea of what their life could look like on the Red Planet. In the not-so- distant year of 2037, the igloo-shaped structure could be the home of your future.
It shows a house built using recycled spacecraft parts and Martian soil, called regolith, which has been microwaved into bricks. Some parts of the home are recognizable一a kitchen, a bedroom一but there are fundamental differences that are important to human survival.
As the Martian atmosphere is around one hundredth as thick as the Earth's, people will need permanent(永久的) shelter from the sun; society will move largely indoors. Most buildings will be connected by underground passages and the houses won't have windows. The homes will have simulated solar lighting, or natural light that has been bent several times. Walls will need to be 10 to 12 feet thick, to protect people from dangerous rays(光线) that can pass through six feet of steel, and a double air-locked entrance to keep the home under proper pressure.
"We don't think of our houses as things that keep us alive, but on Mars your house will be a survival centre, "says Stephen Petranek, author of How We'll Live on Mars. This is not just the stuff of sci-fi. "10 to 20 years from now there will certainly be people on Mars, "Petranek says.
"We've had the technology for 30 years to land people on Mars, but we haven't had the will," Petranek says. But two main factors have" completely swung public attitudes".
The private companies' participation has forced government agencies to speed up their game, and influential films such as Gravity and The Martian have caught society's eye.

We three were running down the path, shouting and laughing when our dog Rubby suddenly stopped in the distance. He turned around and eyed us, with his tail swinging up and down.
My little brother Toby immediately sped up and rushed to where Rubby was. He bent down, picked up something and ran back to us.
It was a bunch of keys. We gathered in a circle, examining the keys one by one, hoping to find some useful information about its owner. There were 3 keys- a house key, a mail key and a car key and a unique key fob(吊坠), very likely designed specially.
"Gosh, the owner might be in great trouble, "my sister sighed. She was right. We once lost our keys. Although we had an extra house key, it took our parents quite a long time to get a new mail key, let alone there was a car key.
Who might have lost them?
After many wild guesses, we finally drew a conclusion: It might belong to someone in our neighborhood as only our neighbors wandered into the woods for a walk. But it was still impossible to figure out who it was. We had a very big neighborhood.
"The owner might come back to look for them," Toby reminded.
So we decided to stay where we were, keeping a watchful eye on all passers-by. Our little dog ran in circles of excitement since we stayed so long in the wild. We remained in the woods for two hours, asking everyone we came across whether they lost their keys, but in vain.
It seemed we had to give up. But my sister wouldn't, saying that she just couldn't stop picturing the owner brushing aside tall grasses hoping to find the lost keys. "How anxious and upset the owner would be!"
I took a look at the bunch of keys again and quite by accident, found the key fob had the alarm button. "Look! If we press the alarm button, close enough of course, we can set off the owner's car alarm…"
"That's brilliant.
