Yesterday we took part a tree planting activity organised by our class. Early-in the morning, we set out for Bantou Reservoir in Xiamen. When we were arrived there, we began to work immediately. Firstly, we dug holes that are slightly larger than the root balls. Next, we gentle placed the trees into our new homes. After that, we refilled the holes use enough soil to support the root. Finally, we watered the trees. Three hours passed by after we knew it. Tired as we were, we felt exciting, talking and laughing all the way home. How an unforgettable experience!

Last weekend l went fishing with my cousins by a river, where was two miles away from my home by bike. When we were about to return for home, we found one of our bike lost. We were really nervous then. Asking about the lost bike, nobody told the truth except me. And to my surprise, my parents don't scold me. Instead, they said I was a honest boy. I have benefited great from my family rules. I'm not the best at school work, but classmates trust me and nearly everyone is willing to making friends with me. It helps me know better about "Honesty is the best policy."

Last week I went to countryside to visit my parents. I enjoyed the warmly family atmosphere. That evening, a group of local actor came to give a performance in the village hall. When the news gets around, excitement filled the whole village. Unluckily, my glasses was broken. As a result, I couldn't go and watch it. All my parents went to the hall, which many villagers had waited anxiously. I did nothing but sit on the sofa, listened to English programs on the radio. Two hours later, I heard a knock over the door. The performance was finished and my parents returned back home.

I participated the Secondary School Program in Harvard last summer. I spend half of the day on my class and homework, and then I'd be free to do that I wanted. Since my course was an 8-credit course, it was a lot fast than other summer school course. I had to learn how to keep up with the pace of my class and figure out how to study efficient. For me, take notes was of great help. During my study, I also got to know many professors who was available for extra help whenever I needed it. The resources and opportunities combined with the environment here made me want to attend to Harvard even more. Now back in China, I often miss the experience of studying abroad.

Last term, I hosted an exchange student calling Jacob from the Great Britain to our school. He really cares for Chinese Culture. Jacob asked me to show himself around the city on weekends. I took him to many local place of interest and we also go to the theater to watch a show of Peking Opera. He was so attracted by the performance as he decided to learn it. My father happened to know a master of Peking Opera and introduced Jacob to him. Jacob was great honored to be one of his students. Put his heart into it, Jacob made a rapid progress. When he returned England, he gave a performance, for what he won much admiration from his classmates.
