I'm Raj from India（印度） and I come to America to study in a middle school. Today is my first day at school. And I walk to my school.
I am a little afraid because I don't know anybody in the new school. I am also confused（困惑的） because I don't know where to take lessons. In India，the teacher comes to the classroom and the students wait for him or her. But here，the students go to different classrooms. For my first class，I walk into the classroom and ask the teacher，"Is this the right place?"he answers，"Yes. "His voice makes me feel a little better. He asks me to sit where I want. But in India，the teacher tells me where to sit.
At noon，I go to the cafeteria（自助餐厅） for lunch. I feel happy because we don't have it in India. At 3：30 p. m. ，all the students can go home. I am surprised（惊讶） because we have long school days in India—7：00 a. m. to 5：30 p. m. I take the bus to go home. On the bus，I think，"Today is not bad. "
